When we started our firm, we knew we didn’t want a generic name or a corporate-sounding brand. We wanted something meaningful—something that reflected who we are, where we come from, and what we stand for. That’s how we landed on Bentham Wealth Advisors.
Bentham is the name of the street where Steve's mom and George's wife—who are sisters—grew up. They were raised on Bentham Parkway by their mother, our Nana, who was widowed at a young age and left to raise five children on her own. Money was tight, and life wasn’t easy, but she held the family together with hard work, discipline, and love.
We grew up hearing about the Nana Rules—a collection of unspoken principles rooted in doing what’s right, not what’s easy. Whether it was how to cook, clean, or looking out for family, there was always a “right way” to do it. That mindset—those values—are deeply woven into the way we serve our clients today.
At Bentham Wealth, we believe financial planning should be done the right way too. That’s why we’re proud to be a fee-only firm. We don’t earn commissions. We don’t sell products. We’re paid only by our clients, so our advice is always objective, transparent, and in your best interest—just like Nana would have expected.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. Our firm was built by family, inspired by family, and we treat our clients like family. We take the time to listen, to understand what matters to you, and to guide you with care and honesty. We’re not here for quick wins or short-term relationships—we’re here for the long haul.
Even our logo has meaning. It’s inspired by the stone pillars that mark the entrance to Bentham Parkway—a quiet reminder of where this all started. Just like those pillars, we aim to be strong, steady, and dependable, guiding you as you navigate life’s financial path.
Bentham isn’t just a street name. It’s a symbol of resilience, integrity, and the values we were raised on. It’s a daily reminder of our roots and our responsibility—to do right by the people who trust us with their future.
We’re proud of the name. We’re even prouder of the legacy it represents.
