What I appreciate most is being able to view my family’s entire financial world in one spot. Instead of logging into:
Now I can just login to one place and see everything instead of the 14 it would have been before.
You can read my full budgeting post, here. I recommend using this tool—or Monarch—to track your spending each month.
Personally, I like to run all of our expenses through one credit card (hello, reward points!) and then keep an eye on categories like dining, gas, and entertainment. It gives me a quick snapshot of where our money’s going without having to dig through statements.
Here’s how it helps: if our dining-out budget is $1,000 a month and we’ve only spent $600 with a week left, that’s my cue that we can treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. But if we’ve already hit $1,250 before the month’s over, it’s time to rein it in until next month.
Think of this as my digital filing cabinet. I snapped a photo of our life insurance policy, uploaded it in under a minute, and now it’s stored securely online rather than tucked away in a drawer. If I ever need it, it’s right there.
There is a phone app available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
